Where to stay in Paris
If you want to be near the tourist spots, you should stay close to the Seine. However, places can be a bit pricey there! If you want to save a bit of money but still be well connected to the tourist spots, I would recommend the 14th, 12th, or 10th arrondissments.
If you’re looking for a hostel to stay at, I recommend the following!
Caulaincourt – Located in Montmartre, this hostel is close to some great sights and in the heart of the artsy district. During the day, Montmartre is filled with locals enjoying a coffee in the sunshine. At night, the neighborhood comes alive with bars and clubs suited for everyone.
Les Piaules – This hostel is in a more local area, but walking distance to one of the best neighborhoods in Paris: Republique! Here you will find bars, restaurants, and speakeasies, and you can even walk down to Le Marais if you wish! If you want some greenery, you’re also close to Parc des Buttes Chaumont, one of the best parks in Paris.
MIJE Hostel – A bit pricey but the location cannot be beat! This hostel is located right in the center of Le Marais, the vibrant shopping neighborhood. You could wander the Marais for hours and you’re well connected both by metro and by foot to all the sights of Paris.
Finding the most instagrammable spots in Paris
The best instagram photo spots in Paris could be anything from Eiffel Tower photos to quaint Parisian cafes and streets. Get inspired to have a killer Instagram feed when you get home!
How to visit the best instagram spots
Hands down the best way to visit Paris is by metro. It’s fairly simple to figure out, but check this beginner’s guide to Paris out first to get your bearings. I’ve included the closest metro stations to all the instagram spots in Paris. From the metro station you can then go on foot.
Trocadero
Metro: Trocedero
Basically the OG instagrammable spot. Rain or shine, our lovely tower always looks beautiful! To get there, all you have to do is arrive at Trocadero metro station and follow the brown signs to the Eiffel Tower. Go early in the morning to avoid the crowds!
Pont Alexandre III
Metro: Concorde
Pont Alexandre III is probably my favorite bridge in Paris! The architecture is amazing, and you have great views of the Eiffel Tower as well as Les Invalides. It’s much more of the historic side of Paris, and I love imagining the hundreds of people who have strolled this bridge before me.
Rue Cremieux
Metro: Quai de la Rapée or Gare de Lyon
This street has become famous for its brightly colored walls. Try to go early in the morning because it gets PACKED later on. Keep in mind as well that people actually live here! These are their homes so try your best not to disturb them with an hour long photoshoot or making lots of noise.
Le Louvre
Metro: Louvre – Rivoli
The Louvre is amazing inside but you absolutely have to get a photo with the iconic pyramid! Again, it gets really crowded so go early and on off days to avoid the crowds.
Shop the looks!
Avenue de Camoens
Metro: Trocadero, Passy
How sick is this shot?? Last time I went there was a guy proposing with heart balloons, tons of confetti, and a huge sign that said “Will you Marry Me?” If my future husband doesn’t go all out on my proposal like this, I don’t want him.
This spot has a great view of the Eiffel Tower with the added advantage that not as many people know about it! Check it out to see for yourself!
Arc de Triomphe
Metro: Charles de Gaulle
The beautiful Arc de Triomphe makes an amazing backdrop for photos. To avoid the crowds, circle around to the back part of the roundabout where there are less tourists. At the top, there’s also lots of photo ops with a great view!
228 Rue de l’université
Metro: Rue du Bac, Musée d’Orsay, or Saint-Germain-des-Pres
Down this residential street is a hidden spot where you can see the Eiffel Tower! It’s a great shot, but can be fairly busy with both cars and pedestrians. But hey, no shame in taking photos! Do it for the gram!
Palais Royal
Metro: Tuileries, Pyramides, or Louvre Rivoli
You’ve likely seen tons of photos with the iconic black and white striped pedestals, but where is it exactly? Palais Royal of course! Close to the Louvre and other sights, so make sure to stop here to get that iconic photo!
71 Rue Saint-Dominique
Metro: École Militaire or Champs de Mars
On one of the side streets near the Eiffel Tower park, lies this small alcove between two buildings where you can get some great shots of you + the Eiffel Tower. Definitely one of my favorite spots but try to go in off-peak times!
La Maison Rose
Metro: Lamarck-Caulaincourt or Abbesses
La Maison Rose is a restaurant in Montmartre, famous for its bright pink color! There is always a line of people trying to get a photo with the building, but I also recommend walking down the street to the other, separate pink building to avoid the crowds!
Palace of Versailles
Metro: RER C Versailles Château
Finally, the Palace of Versailles is a must! Not only do you have the famous Hall of Mirrors, but the outside of the palace is filled with beautiful sights. Pretend to be Marie Antoinette taking a stroll in the gardens, and have some gorgeous photos along the way!

Your post has me reminiscing about my trip in Paris. I’ll have to go back and take some photos as it was super crowded last time I was there. Great photos and suggestions!
Jori
Lenore | The Nitty Gritty Travel OTCovid has helped lessen the crowds a lot! But it’s still a struggle to get that perfect photo with no people!

Been to 5 of these spots and taken pictures there, just not all with a person in it. Paris has so many beautiful spots to get instagrammable shots.
