Paris is a city full of glorious brunch spots. There are so many to choose from, so what’s the difference?? After countless weekends spent exploring a different brunch in Paris, I’ve compiled this list of some options and my thoughts on each one.

Quick facts about Paris

Currency: Euro

Population: 2,211,297

Major airports: Charles De Gaulle (CDG), and Paris Orly (ORY), There is also Beauvais but it is about a 2 hour bus ride from Paris

Tipping: Service included in meal and drink price. Ask for une carafe d’eau if you want tap water

If you’ve never been to Paris before, read this beginner’s guide first!

Where to stay in Paris

If you want to be near the tourist spots, you should stay close to the Seine. However, places can be a bit pricey there! If you want to save a bit of money but still be well connected to the tourist spots, I would recommend the 14th, 12th, or 10th arrondissments.

If you’re looking for a hostel to stay at, I recommend the following!

Caulaincourt – Located in Montmartre, this hostel is close to some great sights and in the heart of the artsy district. During the day, Montmartre is filled with locals enjoying a coffee in the sunshine. At night, the neighborhood comes alive with bars and clubs suited for everyone.

Les Piaules – This hostel is in a more local area, but walking distance to one of the best neighborhoods in Paris: Republique! Here you will find bars, restaurants, and speakeasies, and you can even walk down to Le Marais if you wish! If you want some greenery, you’re also close to Parc des Buttes Chaumont, one of the best parks in Paris.

MIJE Hostel – A bit pricey but the location cannot be beat! This hostel is located right in the center of Le Marais, the vibrant shopping neighborhood. You could wander the Marais for hours and you’re well connected both by metro and by foot to all the sights of Paris.

1. 46 & 3rd

46 Rue de Turbigo

3rd Arr.

46 and 3rd Brunch Paris 3

Located in the 3rd Arrondissement, near the Arts et Metiers metro station, is 46 & 3rd. This small cafe boasts many sweet, as well as savory options. It seems that their special twist to most dishes, is adding some popcorn on top. I never though popcorn, chocolate syrup, and pancakes could be so tasty!

2. Cafe Mericourt

22 Rue de la Folie Méricourt

11th Arr.

Cafe Mericourt brunch Paris 11

Cafe Mericourt has one of the smaller menus, but more diverse. They have some items, such as foccacia with lamb, which you won’t find in other brunch spots in Paris, and even the traditional brunch dishes have their own unique twist to them. Coffee for me also gets a big thumbs up!

3. Divine

61 Rue d’Hauteville

10th Arr.

Divine 10th

A cocktail bar converted into a brunch spot, and a true hidden gem! This place is small and new, so while the menu may not be as robust as others on this list, it has the best appeal: NO WAIT TIME. Food was great with an international flair, and they top it off with good coffee and fancy cocktails. Yep, I’m sold!

4. Benedict

19 Rue Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie

4th Arr.

brunch paris 4 Benedict

Everyone’s favorite brunch spot, which is a pro and a con. The pro is, they have everything!! The con? There’s always a huge line of people. But hey, not very unusual for a brunch spot in Paris! I love Benedict’s breakfast so much, even if it’s a bit more traditional. The mac and cheese is to die for, the burgers are amazing, and they have so many options for eggs benedict!

5. Maison Sauvage

5 Rue de Buci

6th Arr.

Maison Sauvage is in the heart of the Latin Quarter. On a nice day, it has a lot of outdoor seating, and my favorite thing is how they change the flowers on the outside for every season! The food is good, although I will admit that the coffee isn’t their strong suit. But hey! You’re one of the most Parisian neighborhoods in Paris and living the life, eating outside at a cafe. What more could you ask for??

6. Kozy Bosquet

79 Av. Bosquet

7th Arr.

Located near Eiffel Tower this cute cafe is definitely worth the stop! Their coffee is to die for and they have brunch ALL WEEK LONG. I especially loved how I could add their house pulled beef to several of the menu items!

7. Breakfast in America

4 Rue Malher

4th Arr.

Breakfast in America Paris 4th

Although I would classify it as more breakfast than lunch, Breakfast in America is the quintessential American diner experience. You can go crazy with omelettes, French toast, and hashbrowns, at any time of the day. That’s right folks, you can have pancakes for dinner at this establishment.

8. Republique of Coffee

2 Boulevard Saint-Martin

10th Arr.

Although listed as a coffee shop, Republique has great brunch! The place is small, but if you go in a small group, you may not have to wait very long, like us! I was really impressed by their coffee selection, particularly the fact that they have pumpkin spice latte? All year long? And it’s AMAZING??? Yep, I’m sold. Some of the other coffees they have are Golden Latte, Vanilla Charcoal, Green Matcha Latte and of course the classics.

9. Bon Bouquet Café

29 Rue de Trévise

9th Arr.

specialty coffee paris 9
chai latte paris 9

This charming and stylish place has girlish decor and is perfect for brunch with the girls. The aesthetics are nice, and the food ain’t too shabby either! I was especially excited to find a bagel, a French somewhat rarity.

If you don’t have time for brunch at Bon Boquet, I highly recommend at least trying the coffee (from reading this post you can prooooobably tell I’m a coffee girl). To me, the coffee can make or break my brunch experience! They have all the classics as well as a few in-house specialties.

Nice to meet you!! I’m a small town Texas girl w Nice to meet you!! I’m a small town Texas girl who has since lived abroad and traveled to over 50 countries.Growing up, travel seemed so unattainable and just not in the stars for me. I was always interested in different cultures and languages, but the biggest cultural experience I had in my small town was the taco truck down the street. Now, I’ve lived in 4 countries, learned 3 foreign languages, and have discovered that travel doesn’t need to be for the uber rich or dual nationality. I’ve created a lifestyle for myself that lends itself to travel, adventure, and new experiences.I’ve discovered countries with a backpack, from the back of a motorcycle (@thetejanabiker), on a student visa, and hopefully soon from the left seat of a single engine airplane (as soon as I get my license!!)If any of this resonates with you, you’re in the right place.
Welcome to the adventure my friends 🗺️
