POSTCARDS FROM ANTIGUA 💌What a cute city! Fro POSTCARDS FROM ANTIGUA 💌What a cute city! From the streets of Antigua you can see the Volcán de Agua, giving some decidedly Pompeii vibes. Antigua is actually a really big expat/immigrant hub, with many travelers coming to visit, and then deciding to stay there many years later! There are tons of good restaurants and coffee shops, and the preserved architecture contributes to an old world feel. I would have loved to stay more time there!#guatemalatravel #antiguaguatemala🇬🇹 #culturalexplorer #polyglot
A great itinerary to explore the best of what Pari A great itinerary to explore the best of what Paris has to offer ‌ Day 1: Start your morning by visiting the Louvre. This museum takes several hours to see, and you definitely shouldn’t miss the Gardens of Tuileries while you’re there! Spend your morning inside the museum, grab lunch nearby, then the afternoon exploring the garden. From there, you can either metro or walk further down the Seine to see the Eiffel Tower. If you stick around until night, you’ll get to see it light up and then sparkle for the first 5 minutes of every hour (start time depends on the season).Day 2: Explore the Bohemian neighborhood of Montmartre for your second day in Paris. This hilly neighborhood was the artist quarters and where all the greats (Picasso, Van Gogh, Renoir, Hemingway, etc.) lived and spent the majority of their time. Be sure and check out some iconic sights, such the Wall of Je t’aime, the Basilica of Sacré-Cœur, Moulin Rouge, and Place de Tertre to see local artists. For the late afternoon/evening, visit the Arc de Triomphe on the Champs-Elysées. Climb to the top for one of the best views of Paris (way better than the view point at the Eiffel Tower IMO)!Day 3: Spend the day outside of Paris by visiting the Palace of Versailles. The Palace and the Garden are two separate attractions, and both are definitely worth visiting! There are several beaches to discover, and most are a tiny hike down a cliff until you reach the view of paradise. It is the ocean and not the Mediterranean though, so the color is darker and that water was COLD, no matter which time of the year you visit!#algarvecoast #portugalguide #travelblogs
One of the most typical things to do in Miami is v One of the most typical things to do in Miami is visit the Everglades! 🐊I recently discovered Everglades Alligator Farm, and it’s my favorite spot to date! Contrary to the name, the farm does not actually produce any gators— it’s more of a sanctuary! Looking around, you can tell that the keepers really care about the gators and are happy to answer any questions you may have.There’s a short airboat ride so you can mark it off the bucket list, and we saw two gators just chilling out in the wild, whereas the sanctuary portion has rescues that came from all over the US and can no longer be released.I also think this spot is unique because it’s the only place that is close to the actual Everglades. The Everglades National Park starts southwest of Miami, close to where this farm is located, as opposed to the more popular ones that are way up north. The National Park doesn’t allow airboat rides, so this is the closest you can get! ‌ #miamieverglades #travelblogs #evergladesboats

I’ve now decided to repurpose my personal account into my general travel one (@thetejanaabroad) and leave @thetejanabiker as my motorcycle account.I just never used my personal anymore and didn’t want to lose the travel aspect of my life. I’ll be posting more travel and living abroad content, so I can keep being the insane when-will-she-ever-be-home Jori that you all know and love.
