Lots of changes happening in my life right now, bu Lots of changes happening in my life right now, but it’s my birthday tomorrow so I figured it was the perfect opportunity to re-introduce myself! ✨Hi all, I’m Jori. I named this account “Tejana”, meaning “Texas girl” as a way of keeping with my roots, although nowadays I’ve lived all over. After college I moved abroad for five years, living in France, Italy, and Spain. Five years may not seem like a lot for some, but to me they were extremely formative years where I integrated with the culture, made local friends, and learned the language. I also traveled extensively, hitting 57 countries, and decided to create a travel blog for me to share both my travel experiences and my advice for living abroad.My style of travel is exploring with just a backpack, diving deep into the culture, and hitting up specialty coffee shops in every city I go to, as it makes me feel “like a local.” This style of travel might not appeal to some, and that’s okay!Although travel takes up about 90% of my personality, the other 10% is reserved for my various hobbies.- I’m always down to try something creative, and you can often find me reading a fantasy book 🎨📚- I could survive drinking solely red wine, margaritas, lattes, and Dr. Pepper 🍷☕️- I’m a massive animal lover, and when I was a kid I wanted to be a zookeeper 🐒- I ride motorcycles and created another account/website (@thetejanabiker ) to document my motorcycle travel. A lot of this stemmed from the trip my dad and I took together last summer, where we went from Texas to Alaska and back on our bikes 🏍️Although we met while I was living in Spain, I recently moved back to Texas with my Spanish lover @adrp.8 We’re just settling into Austin, Texas, but it’s been a wild ride showing him Texas and the American culture.That’s a bit about me— nice to meet/re-meet you!Leave a comment if we have something in common 🖤

It seemed like no matter what the weather was farther north, in the Keys it was always sunshine and literal paradise. I can’t talk enough about how much I love the Keys.Hope everyone stayed safe through the last two hurricanes! I know all the Floridians are used to, but the rest of the world is terrified for you 🤣
